About This Property.

Snow Cap Cottages are located in Tanzania at Naleimoru / Rongai, North East of Mt. Kilimanjaro (1900m). They are along the Naleimoru River in the planted forests of Rongai where you can enjoy extreme scenery from every corner with a spectacular view of Kilimanjaro’s twin peaks, Kibo and Mawenzi.

The Cottages are ideal for climbers of Mt. Kilimanjaro via the Rongai route who want to acclimatize before their hike. Tranquil nights and day treks to neighboring villages and natural sights in the forest are a wonderful way to prepare for this exciting journey. But whether you are a mountain climber or a traveler who would like to take a couple of days to enjoy the splendor of the mountain, the warm hospitality of the staff will make you long to return again and again at this property.

From Moshi you drive along Marangu road to Tarakea boarder town (approx.2½hrs). From Tarakea you proceed along the Rongai road to Naleimoru village where the Cottages are located. (Approx. 25mins) The distance from the cottages to Rongai/Nalemoru National Park gate is 500 Meters. The Distance from Loitoktok town of Kenya to the cottages is 20 Minutes.

Accommodation

Each of their spacious double rooms is distinctly decorated and all are self-contained (with their own toilet and hot shower). Rooms are equipped with cable TV accessing premium sports and movie channels, handsomely carved locked wooden wardrobes, and luxurious beds.
