Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival Kilimanjaro Airport- Pre-Safari Briefing
You will be picked up from the airport by a Kilele Climb representative and conveyed to your accommodation in Arusha where you will overnight, relax, and prepare in anticipation of the adventures to come. You will meet your Safari Guide for Pre- safari briefing at your Arusha hotel. You should be planning to arrive at least one day before the start of the Safari. Today we will spend the day having a pre-safari briefing and leisure.
Day 2: Arusha National Park.
After breakfast, you’ll depart from your accommodations and drive to the park.
Your visit to Arusha National Park is a flexible one, as you’ll have three choices as to how you’d like to experience the park.
Game Drive: You can embark on a half-day or full-day game drive through the park. Your drive will pass you past park landmarks such as the Momella Lakes and Ngurdoto Crater – sometimes known as ‘Little Ngorongoro’.
Canoe Safari: Available at extra cost, you’ll trade the car for a canoe as you take a guided canoe safari out on the Momella Lakes to see bushbuck, giraffes, hippos, and buffalo.
Walking Safari: Stretch your legs with a guided walking safari through the park. While on your walking safari, you can expect to see endless acres of forest, home to black and white colobus monkeys, zebras, buffalos, and a variety of antelopes. You will also have a chance to observe more than 400 bird species including the Crowned Eagle, Lanner Falcon and many more…
You can combine the above three options as you please, although the canoe safari and walking safari both attract an additional cost.
You will overnight at lodge/Campsite located inside the National Park.

Day 3: Arusha to Lake Manyara National Park to Lake Eyasi
- Distance & Time: Arusha to Lake Manyara to Lake Eyasi takes about 4.5 to 5 hours (180 km/70mi)
After an early breakfast you will depart for Lake Manyara National park with a picnic lunch for a full day game drive. The park is renowned for its elusive tree-climbing lions and diverse bird life. The shallow and alkaline Lake Manyara covers a large area of the park and it is the seasonal home to thousands of flamingos an awesome (pink) sight. However, more than 400 other species are also found here as well as some wonderful mammals. Troops of monkeys live in the forests, giraffes, giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, and wildebeests on the grassy plains and elephants. After your tour around the beautiful lake and the amazing ground water forest, In the late afternoon, you will drive to Lake Eyasi the driving is up, and across the Great East African Rift Valley, the driving to Lake Eyasi is of about 1.5 hours. Where a delicious dinner awaits you, and spend the night. Overnight will be near Lake Eyasi.

Day 4: Hadzabe bushmen & Datoga visit
You’ll be up before breakfast today, as you’ll be joining the Hadzabe bushmen for the opportunity to hunt for your food This is not a mere performance. The bushmen rely on these techniques to survive and you’ll need to be very attentive and at times quiet, while they demonstrate their use of locally made poisons in incapacitating the poor creatures on which they depend for survival. After the morning experience with Hadzabe, we return to your Accommodation for a late breakfast.
After Breakfast you will be introduced to the extraordinary people who belong to an indigenous tribe known as the ‘Hadzabe’ (hunter-gatherer bushmen). The tribe inhabits the shores of Lake Eyasi as do the Nilotic-speaking Datoga tribe. You will visit these tribes, which will include a visit to their homesteads, learn about their way of life, animal tracking, medicinal plants, and much more. Some wildlife and a wide range of bird species can be viewed during walks around the lake, which can be arranged. Dinner & Overnight.

Day 5: Lake Eyari to Ngorongoro Crater
- Distance & Drive Time: Lake Manyara to NCA takes about 45 minutes to 1 hour (41km/25mi)
After an early breakfast you will have a sort drive to the Ngorongoro entrances and few minutes you start descending to 600m down the crater for game drive. The Ngorongoro Crater is almost 600m deep, approximately 20 km wide and the massive caldera is home to an amazing variety of animals. On your game drive you have the possibility of seeing all different kinds of mammals ranging from the Big Five – lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino and leopard – to Grant’s and Thomson’s gazelles and mountain reedbucks. You might also see spotted hyenas, and some of the more than 500 bird species of the area. After a picnic lunch in the crater and some more game viewing, you will leave the crater in the evening and travel back to tented camp/lodge where you will be spending the second night.

Day 6: Ngorongoro to Oldupai Gorge to Serengeti National Park
- Distance & Drive time: NCA to central Serengeti takes about 3 to 3.5 hours (153 km/95mi)
After morning breakfast drive to Serengeti with picnic lunch. We will stopover at Olduvai Gorge, boasting with a history dating back to the dawn of time. It was here, that the anthropologists Drs. Lois and Mary Leakey discovered the skulls of ‘Nutcracker Man’ and ‘Handy Man’, both very significant links in the chain of human evolution. Lunch will also be served at the Olduvai Gorge as you get the lecture of the evolution theory. There after proceed to the Serengeti with game viewing en route. Dinner and overnight at Camps/Lodge at Central Serengeti.
Day 7-8: Serengeti National Park.

After breakfast enter into the corners of plains Serengeti for a full day to explore the Serengeti with both morning and afternoon game drives. The Serengeti National Park is the jewel in the crown of Tanzania’s game parks and offers arguably the best game viewing in Africa. The setting is perfect –a sea of endless plains that stretches to the horizon, dotted with the occasional acacia tree and termite mound. This Savanna is home to huge herds of Wildebeest that every year make the mass migration North, through crocodile infested rivers, in a frenzied mixture of mating and galloping that is driven by instinct. Prides of lion rule here, their hungry gaze sweeping the Savannah for a chance to attack the thousands of eland, impala and gazelle. Solitary leopard stakes out their place in the high branches of the acacia tree and herds of elephant’s roam at will. This is the Africa that you have always dreamed about. You will overnight at lodge/Campsite located central Serengeti.

Days 9: Flying Out of the Serengeti to Zanzibar
From the Serengeti National Park, you will transfer to the closest airstrip for a flight to the tropical island of Zanzibar, off the coast of Dar es Salaam. Made famous as one of the spice routes and slave markets, today Zanzibar is renowned for its crystal-clear waters, tropical reefs teeming with life and white sandy beaches. A trip to Zanzibar would not be complete without a tour of Stone Town with its narrow streets, spice markets, history and amazing door designs.
For those looking to relax on white sandy beaches, there are plenty of options available, typically on the east coast which has the benefit of having a protective reef, ensuring calm waters and sandy beaches. For those looking for a little more adventure there are various activities you can enjoy like snorkeling, scuba diving and more.
For the next few nights, enjoy Zanzibar Island at your own leisure.

Day 10: Day at Leisure and Explore Zanzibar Island
Today is totally free and at leisure. You can take advantage of any optional activities available or simply relax. Inform us of what excursions and activities you’d like to participate in for an overall price of the trip.
After breakfast, you will go on a guided tour of stone town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Experience tracing the footsteps of Arab Sultans on Zanzibar and ponder on the interesting historical sites and labyrinths. See actual Zanzibar doors famous for its unique architectural tradition.

Day 11: Countryside Tour
After lunch you will go on a guided tour of the countryside to the spice plantations. This place has a rich history and you will be welcomed by the rich aroma of spices such as nutmeg and cinnamon. In the evening, we will head north of Zanzibar to Kendwa beach, a top favorite for its white sand, clear waters and romantic sunsets.

Day 12: Departure
On your last day, enjoy the rest of your stay by relaxing in the pool or in the beach while taking in as much sunshine as you can. Have a hefty breakfast and don’t forget to stroll along the white sands of Kendwa beaches. After lunch in the afternoon, you will meet our drive/guide who will drive you to Airport for your flight back home. (Advice departure time).
