Kisima Ngeda is a wonderful tented camp located near a spring, in a beautiful forest near Lake Eyasi.

The eight comfortable tents of Kisima Ngeda Tented Camp are in a fantastic location on the lakeshore. The permanent tents are built from local materials, making them blend into the surroundings.

The owners and their staff are very hospitable and consciously deal with their environment and the locals in this area.

The tents of Kisima Ngeda are built on a wooden platform and have palm leaf roofs and a private porch. A wonderful place to relax and rest from your safari with a good book, a nice walk or a swim in the pool.

Accommodation

The spacious tents have beautiful handmade beds and an ensuite bathroom with a hot shower and toilet. The tents are very comfortable and designed to have little impact on the environment. They all have a beautiful view of the lake.

Ziwani Lodge, located on an escarpment overlooking Lake Eyasi in Northern Tanzania, offers sweeping views of the Rift Valley. The property is a fully fledged eco lodge; running solely off solar and wind power. The inspiration of the construction and design came from the local architecture around the area.

The open feel of the design with limited amount of glass in the windows, is not only used as a natural cooling system in the rooms and main areas of the property, but also to get our guests to feel at one with nature.

About this Property

Tindiga Tented Camp: a beautiful and small traditional camp, ideally situated only 1,5 kilometers from the stunning Lake Eyasi. Tindiga Tented Camp is situated on a hill overlooking the shrubland of the Eyasi Ecosystem, with Mount Masumbuku in the west and the hills of the Ngorongoro area in the north, offering some beautiful views. This great landscape is home to the indigenous bushman, the Hadzabe, and the nomadic Datoga tribe. In fact, this is the only place in Africa where you can go hunting with these Hadzabe, the last known tribe that lives by hunting and gathering honey and fruit.

The camp has 10 tented rooms with en-suite bathrooms, and can therefore offer a personalized service and quality. Because the camp is built with local building materials it blends in beautifully with the natural environment, and it is run with an eco-friendly approach; protecting and preserving the natural resources. The camps restaurant is built by Datoga women, reflecting their culture and lifestyle. Staying at Tindiga Tented Camp offers a unique and ultimate “Africa experience.”
