Days 9: Flying Out of the Serengeti to Zanzibar

From the Serengeti National Park, you will transfer to the closest airstrip for a flight to the tropical island of Zanzibar, off the coast of Dar es Salaam. Made famous as one of the spice routes and slave markets, today Zanzibar is renowned for its crystal-clear waters, tropical reefs teeming with life and white sandy beaches. A trip to Zanzibar would not be complete without a tour of Stone Town with its narrow streets, spice markets, history and amazing door designs.

For those looking to relax on white sandy beaches, there are plenty of options available, typically on the east coast which has the benefit of having a protective reef, ensuring calm waters and sandy beaches. For those looking for a little more adventure there are various activities you can enjoy like snorkeling, scuba diving and more.

For the next few nights, enjoy Zanzibar Island at your own leisure.
