Arusha National Park Day Tour

This small but beautiful Tanzanian National Park is the closest national park to both the famous Arusha “safari town” (30 km) as well as the Moshi town (75km), thus making it ideal for 1-day safaris tours. Not only is the animal life in the park abundant, but it is also one of the most beautiful and topographically varied parks in Tanzania. Arusha national park includes the slopes, summit and ash cone of mount Meru which is the second highest peak in Tanzania having 4566 m above sea level, the notably different colored Momela Lakes, and the 3km wide Ngurudoto Crater, which was formed about fifteen million years ago! Wildlife which could be seen include White and black colubus Monkey, African buffalos, elephants, hippos, giraffe, warthogs, antelopes, zebras, blue monkeys and sometimes a rare leopard or hyena.

- CanoeingSafari– Canoeing Momella Lake Enjoy a peaceful and scenic canoeing safari following the shorelines of small Momella Lake. On these 2- 2.5 hours canoe safari you can view buffaloes, bushbuck, giraffes, hippos and many water birds living in and close to the water.
- Walking Safari-Four (4) hours walking safari through the rain forest home of the Colubus monkeys to the picturesque cascade and picnic destination.
Itinerary
Day 1: Moshi – Arusha National Park – Moshi
- Travel time: 1 ½ hours – 1 ½ hours
After earlier breakfast you are met by our professional tour driver guide, who will deliver a short safari info briefing, after which we travel west to the Arusha national Park with a picnic lunch for a full day game drive. You will enjoy an exciting morning game drive, lunch at picnic and afternoon game drive, visiting both the Momela Lakes which are sites for flamingo and the Ngurdoto Crater. You spend as much time as possible at the park, marveling at all its wonderful wildlife with the assistance and expert knowledge of your Kilele Climb driver-guide.
After a wonderful day enjoying the spectacular sights and sounds of this truly special place, we leave Arusha park around 16.00, to arrive back in Moshi for 18.00 where you are dropped off at your hotel in Moshi or alternatively to Airport, which ends our tour package services.

Activities shall take an average of 9 hours spent in the park for game viewing.
