It’s a luxurious mobile tented camp located in Nabi Slopes, near Lake Ndutu, Moru Kopjes, and the Hidden Valley. The camp is set up during the calving season, which is an emotional time when hundreds of baby calves are born in the Serengeti’s plains.

The camp offers an authentic safari experience without compromising the warmth and comfort of home. Each tent has an ensuite bathroom with hot showers, flush toilets, and bathrobes. Additionally, the tents are equipped with mosquito netting to ensure a peaceful night’s sleep. Laundry services are available for an extra cost. The camp provides 24-hour electricity and power points for charging. There is a separate dining area, lounge, and bar available for guests. Beverages are available for an extra cost. The camp can accommodate special dietary considerations upon request. Guests can enjoy a sundowner for an additional fee and nightly campfires, and each tent is equipped with radio communication.

This beautifully designed tented lodge is situated in Ndutu in the southeastern Serengeti plains within the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, a prime location for game drives and an ideal stopover to the neighboring Serengeti National Park. The lodge has 20 well-appointed sleeping tents with a combination of Family Suites and individual Guest Tents offering a top- notch true African safari experience.

The Lodge is some 5 kilometers (15 minutes’ drive) from Ndutu airstrip, and about 300 Kilometers or 5 hours’ drive / 1 hour by flight from Arusha town. Lake Ndutu Luxury Tented Lodge is conveniently situated close to the prime game viewing areas of Seronera in Central Serengeti about 80kms to the northwest and the world famous Ngorongoro Crater 90kms to the east.

Accommodation

The guest tents are spacious (70sqm) resting on wooden stilts and a platform elevated a metre from the natural ground and nestling under makuti roofing (palm fronds) for shade and protection against the elements.

The airy tented rooms feature a large bedroom with wooden floor and oversize floor-to-ceiling glass panels at the front affording guests a wide view from inside to the natural scenery outside over the balcony. Accommodation is provided in double, twin and triple rooms.

Fresh colours and natural carvings with the traditional African culture are used as the central theme of interior decor.

Family Suite /Interconnecting Rooms

The lodge boasts of two Suites, specially designed to suit families travelling with children and young adults or for groups of friends who want to stay together, sharing the same platform with 3 tents interconnected to each other. For parents, the whole concept is to give them a relaxed feeling to enjoy the trip with children safely tucked up close to them in the connected tents.

Each of the two suites has three en-suite tented rooms opening on to each other through an interconnecting deck and sharing the same platform. Each of the three tented rooms has an en-suite bathroom with two hand basins, a toilet, and two shower facilities – an indoor shower and an outdoor shower, a private balcony and own entrance, and all other amenities provided in the individual guest tents. There is a ramp for physically challenged guests to access one of the guest tents in each of the two-family suites.

Besides, this area is the principle setting of the Great Migration which takes place from December to April and the Big Five visit the area. In addition, the camp is ecological without losing in comfort and attention. The electricity is generated by solar panels and the water is rain water collected during the rains. All the products used are biodegradables.
