About Rongai

The Rongai route is the main route that methodologies Kilimanjaro from the north, near the Kenyan outskirt. In spite of the fact that picking up ubiquity among climbers, Rongai has low traffic.   • Pack the necessary gears and double-check the complete list.
  • Prepare a 'Kilimanjaro playlist' to listen to during your hike which helps to break your mental stress and physical exhaustion.

Geography

On the first day, the trail heads towards the corn and potato fields and then moves through the forest which is home to a variety of wildlife, including the black and white colobus monkey. Then the trekking continues through the moorland, leaving the main trail for a smaller path towards the jagged peaks of Mawenzi. The landscape changes dramatically in the Alpine Desert zone. The unique landscapes offer stunning views of Kibo and Mawenzi.
