Lobo Wildlife Lodge is a dream of romanticism in its remote location, strategically built into an enormous volcanic rocky outcrop. It is the largest lodge on the migration route where it’s elevated position means that the migration can be viewed from the comfort of a sun lounger. A waterhole below the Lodge attracts a variety of wildlife during the day and is lit each evening, revealing an interesting array of nocturnal animals, providing a close encounter with the very authentic wildlife. All the Lodge’s 75 elegant guestrooms afford superb views of this unbelievable natural phenomenon, and the sumptuous swimming pool is situated on the very edge of the rock, offering uninterrupted views of the horizon.

Lobo Wildlife Lodge has 75 spacious guestrooms offering stunning views over the vast plains of Serengeti National Park.

Elegantly decorated in authentic traditional African style, the rooms are fully equipped with ensuite bathrooms that have shower attachments and bathtubs. King–size beds are provided and the rooms have mosquito nets over the air vents.

Some of the 75 rooms have twin beds, others are double rooms with a King-size beds. Interconnecting family rooms are also available. Moreover, there is one Junior suite and two Presidential suites, where important world-renowned personalities have enjoyed the magical experience of wildlife in this privileged setting.

12 luxurious rooms under canvas are named after the animals that surround them. Each is encircled by vast private decks, creating a hundred and twenty square metres within which to sink into a deck lounger, soak in your private hot tub or gaze out at passing wildlife.

This is your personal kingdom, ideally suited to restful sleep, taking an open-air shower beneath the warm African sun, or unwinding as you await drinks from your private butler. Each tent sleeps two, but an extra single bed can be added for a third adult

Family tents

For larger families visiting Serengeti Bushtops, we combine two tents into a private family suite. A short bridge connects Jackal 1 and Jackal 2, or a longer one creates a unit comprising Giraffe and Hippo.

This enables groups of up to eight (four adults and four children aged seven or more) to enjoy their own private paradise.

The Heritage Mara Camp in Kogatende is about 20 minutes from the Mara River, on the outskirts of the Northern Serengeti zone. It’s a fantastic site to see herds of wildebeest cross the river. Even so, it’s far enough away from the main road to allow for remote game viewing.

The camp is situated on a hill, surrounded by huge evergreen trees, with sweeping views of the Northern Serengeti. The camp is open from July to November, when millions of wildebeest migrate across the Northern Serengeti, with the goal of crossing the Mara River.

The best time to visit this camp is in July and stay until the middle of November.

On our Basic Camping Safaris, you will stay in public campsites, located inside the park or on private campsites on the outskirts, you will also be accompanied by a skilled safari Chef who will take care of your well-being. The campsites in the parks are not fenced and it is likely that you may find Giraffes, Buffalos, and elephants wandering between the tents or bump into antelopes on your way to the shower.

Falling asleep to the hooting of an owl or waking up with the roaring of a lion is what you will experience. The safari experience is all the more intense as you are ‘right in the middle of it all. The nearness to nature, especially at night with its nocturnal sounds, compensates for the luxury of a lodge. Please note that bathroom facilities are shared with fellow travelers at the camp.

Your Crew will set up your tents for you every evening and pack them away the following morning. Our Chefs are very skilled at producing a wide range of dishes, with limited access to shops/markets and cooking equipment. He / She will prepare all meals, often even including a packed meal for a picnic lunch. Early morning eggs and sausages, coffee and bread, snacks and evenings with stews and salads, Kilele-Climb’s cooks can create delicious 3-course meals with only a fire and a sharp knife…
