Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha
Distance & Drive Time: NCA to Arusha takes about 3.5–4 hours (158 km/98 mi).
After an early breakfast, enjoy a short drive to the Ngorongoro entrance before descending 600 meters into the world’s largest inactive, intact, and unfilled volcanic caldera. Covering 260 sq km (161 sq mi) with a depth of over 2,000 feet, the Ngorongoro Crater offers one of the most spectacular safari experiences in Africa. A 6-hour game drive across the crater floor reveals incredible wildlife action; elephants, buffalo, black rhino, hippos, hyenas, cheetahs, and lions in abundance.
