Budget Camping Safari

Our Budget Camping is an economical way to gain insight into local cultures and will bring you closer to the region’s wildlife.

All of our budget Camping safaris are non-participation which means that you do not have to pitch your tent or help with things like cooking, washing up or packing up the camp. Each safari operates with a professional Safari Guide and Chef and it is they who will do the hard work while you enjoy the best of the Tanzanian bush. For safaris with seven or more passengers, we also take a supply vehicle and camping assistants.

What To Expect On A Budget Camping Safari?

You will stay in large two-man dome canvas tents during your Tanzania Camping Safari. In your Tanzania Camping Safari, you will be provided with spacious tents which are enough for two adults and luggage. There is also option of opting for your own tent by including the single supplement.

These tents are not just well-ventilated but also have mosquito covered nets. There are fly-sheets available for the rain. Sleeping mats are also included in most camping safaris. An important Tanzania Travel Advice is that you must not forget to bring your own sleeping bag, pillow and towels as these will not be provided at the tent.

Adding that extra special touch, your team will light a campfire as night falls and as the bush transforms you can relax at the end of each day and enjoy the beauty of the African sky.

Our camping safaris in Tanzania offer all of this and are therefore perfect for nature lovers and those who are looking for a break from civilisation and its comforts. Camping is to experience East Africa’s nature, animals and cultures in an affordable way.

Mid-Range Safari

Accommodation on Mid-range safaris is in Tented Camps and sometimes Lodge.

Tented camps are permanent or semi-permanent camps sited in areas of excellent game viewing. Tented camps offer many comforts including king, double or twin beds, crisp linen and ensuite bathrooms with flushing toilets and hot bucket showers or for the adventurous, a shower under the stars in the bush bathroom. Settle into your comfortable deck chair and as the sun sets, you’re left wanting for absolutely nothing and even though you’ll be miles from anywhere, you’ll be amazed at the variety and quality of food on offer, prepared by the Chef in their bush kitchen.

Meals will be enjoyed in the communal mess tent and as night falls and the bush transforms, there is no better place to soak up the atmosphere than at the dining tent followed by a drink by the campfire.

Tented camps are more intimate than lodges as they generally accommodate 12 to 20 guests.

Lodges are full-service facilities with private rooms or cottages with private bathrooms and have restaurants and lounges. Some have swimming pools. Many lodges are architecturally stunning made with local materials and inspired by local designs and the environment.

Note :

Because there are so many options, you need not have one tone for your whole trip: we can make a bespoke itinerary for you including more than one style of accommodation.

Luxury Safari

Accommodation on Luxury safaris is in Lodge and sometimes Luxury Tented Camps.

All your meals are provided by the lodge.

Lodges are full-service facilities with private rooms or cottages with private ensuite bathrooms and have restaurants and lounges. Some have swimming pools. Many Safari lodges are built with “a touch of luxury in the wild” philosophy in mind, allowing you the comforts of home in remote locations.

Luxury Plus Safari

Accommodation on Luxury Plus safaris is in 5 Star Lodges and sometimes Top Luxury Tented Camps.

All your meals are provided by the lodge.

When going on a safari and staying in a luxury accommodation, the attention to detail is what most stands out. Most, if not all, of these locations offer full five-star hotel-type amenities including swimming pools, elegant rooms, and multiple dining options.

These types of accommodation are for those who wish to experience plush, luxurious, and top-quality hospitality when out on safari in Tanzania. These are often large luxury chain lodges or luxury camps, and will offer private safari driver-guides for our guests.
