National Park Overview

Samburu National Park Park is arranged on Kenya's southern fringe with Tanzania, situated about 200km south east of Nairobi. Joined with Tsavo East, this park frames one of the world's biggest amusement asylums. The East and West parks are isolated by the Mombasa/Nairobi street, and both work pleasantly on a circuit with Mombasa. Tsavo West has an assortment of scenes, from marshes and common springs to rough pinnacles, wiped out volcanic cones, to moving fields and sharp rosy outcrops. Wildlife can be hard to spot due to the thick scours. In May 1948, a month after its origination Tsavo National Park was separated into East and West for managerial purposes. At 21 812 square km, Tsavo National Park is the biggest park in Kenya.

Named after the Tsavo River which streams from west to east, the park is viewed as one of the world's biodiversity fortresses. It is the main Kenyan park that grants night drives and furthermore permits rough terrain driving so one can see the wildlife quit for the day. It is known for diverse bird life and for its huge wildlife for example dark rhino, Cape buffalo, elephant, leopard, hippo and Masai lion. There are additionally other littler animals that can be seen in the park, for example, the hedge infant, hartebeest, lesser kudu and Maasai giraffe.

Wildlife

Samburu offers extraordinary wildlife sighting and four of the Big Five are present. Rhinos are missing, yet big herds of elephant cross the park. Of the big felines, leopards are extremely compensating with some habituated individuals giving astounding sightings. Most fascinating are the northern Kenya specials including Beisaoryx, lesser kudu, giraffe, Grevy's zebra and the odd-looking gerenuk.
